What is Japanese Hinoki (Cypress)?
The local Kishu Hinoki (Japanese Cypress) that we use has a history of being used as a building material for over 1,000 years. Not only does it have beautiful grain and color, but it is also a high-quality Hinoki that has been proven by experiments in Wakayama Prefecture to be extremely resistant to bending, stretching, and compression.
